Training

The Grand Forks Police Department provides a wide variety of training to its officers with sworn officers receiving an average of approximately 100 hours of training annually. The Grand Forks Police Department is a regional training entity for the state of North Dakota and supplies training to 50+ outside agencies annually. In 2008, the Grand Forks Police Department officially opened the doors on a new multi-million dollar training facility shared by Police, Fire and the Health Department. The facilities include; classrooms, training tower/building, outdoor shooting range, outdoor training areas for canine, snowmobile/ATV Patrol and state-of-the-art driving and use of force simulator systems.
