Administrative Division

The Administrative Division of the Grand Forks Police Department provides support services to the Operations Division, regional law enforcement agencies, and the citizens of our community. The Administrative Division is comprised of three bureaus.

The Human Resources Bureau (HRB) sustains and develops the most valuable asset within the agency…..our employees. HRB facilitates recruitment of officer candidates for full-time sworn positions, reserve officers, non-sworn employees, and interns. Additional areas addressed by the HRB includes: employee retention, promotional processes, workplace safety, Civil Service Code compliance, and coordination of all personnel related matters with the City of Grand Forks Human Resources Office. A Police Sergeant is assigned to the HRB to specifically address employee development and training.

The Records Administration Bureau (RAB) is responsible for the department’s vast records management system and provides administrative support to the department. In addition, RAB handles and directs telephone and walk-up inquires to the department.

The Facilities and Equipment Bureau (FEB) is responsible for coordination of capital item purchases, property and evidence services, facility maintenance, and coordination with the Public Safety Answering Point.

The staff of the Administrative Division is dedicated to respectfully serving our employees and citizens. We recognize our obligation to develop and train departmental personnel for the present and future challenges of our profession. We accept our obligations wholeheartedly and serve with a spirit of integrity, partnership, pride, and professionalism.
