1. Commission

Per ND Century Code 40-23-01 the executive officer of each municipality, when it shall be found necessary, shall appoint three reputable residents and freeholders of the municipality as members of a commission which shall be known as the special assessment commission.

Please be informed that the meeting date to hear these variances is scheduled for Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in person in room 201 at the Public Works Facility, 724 N. 47th Street, to consider the appeals below.  Members of the Grand Forks Board of Adjustments may be attending this meeting in person, electronically or telephonically.

 

  1. Nick Pribula on behalf of Blue Star Investments, LLP, 2313 N. Washington St., has made a request for variance to the side yard setback requirements [Section 18-0219 of the Land Development Code] in order to construct a contractor shop.  Legal Description: Lot D of Block 1 of the Summer’s 1st Subdivision.
  2. Kenneth & Regina Schuller, 2423 9th Ave. So., has made a request for variance to side yard setback, impervious surface area coverage and accessory building requirements [Table 18-0209(7) & (9) and 18-0305 of the Land Development Code] in order to construct detached garage. Legal Description: Lot 10, Block 14 Western Acres Addition. 
  3. Stacey & Katie Kemp, 5355 West Lanark Dr., has made a request for variance to off-street parking (setback and coverage) requirements [Section 18-0302 of the Land Development Code] in order to add paving to the front yard. Legal Description: Lot 42, Block 8 Congressional 2nd Resub-division.
  4. Harold & Veronica Wilde, 220 Windward Hills Ave., has made a request for variance to impervious surface area coverage and off-street parking requirements [Sections 18-0208(7) &18-0302 of the Land Development Code] in order to add paving to the front yard.  Legal Description: Lot 5, Block B Sunbeam Addition.

All comments received before 3:00 PM on the day prior to the meeting day will be considered part of the record of the meeting as if personally presented.
