1. Purpose

The purpose of the Growth Fund Committee is to initially screen applicants requesting funds from the Growth Fund Jobs Development Authority as referred to the committee. Upon referral of an application, the committee will perform investigations and evaluate proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and offer recommendations to the authority. The committee may also recommend to the authority administrative practices, programs, policies and procedures.

2. Membership

The Growth Fund Committee will be composed of five (5) members representing the following groups and sectors:
  1. Three (3) members from the City Council.

  2. Two (2) members nominated by the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation. Nominations will be received from the Grand Forks Region Economic Development Corporation and confirmed by City Council.

April 30 | 11:00 Call: *Special* Business Briefing – ND Smart Restart Guidelines; NEW funding for EIDL/PPP; and NEW financial support available through BND!

Last Thursday, Congress passed what is being referred to as "CARES 3.5".  The bill provides for an additional $310B in Paycheck Protection Program Loans and $60B for EIDL loans and grants. Also on Friday, the Bank of North Dakota announced two new programs to provide assistance to North Dakota employers!  Finally – we are talking about ND Smart Restart!  Join us for a special Business Briefing to hear updates on the recently refunded PPP and EIDL, as well as a special presentation from the Bank of North Dakota to review two new emergency business financing options, an update from Job Service and finally – an update on ND Smart Restart!

To receive call-in information, attendees must register as a non-member. A confirmation email with call specifics will be sent to the email provided in the registration prior to the call. Please provide your questions during registration. These will be provided ahead of time to the Department of Commerce so that presenters can address your questions to the extent possible, given the dynamic environment. Questions not addressed during the conference call will be answered in follow-up communication.
