City of Grand Forks to Hold a Virtual News Conference

Grand Forks, ND - Mayor Michael R. Brown will be holding a “virtual” news conference at 2:15 pm on Thursday, March 19, 2020 to provide updates on the local efforts to combat and slow the spread of COVID-19, or Coronavirus. 


Mayor Brown will be joined by City Administrator Todd Feland, Grand Forks Public Health Director Debbie Swanson and Altru Health System’s Medical Director of Primary Care Dr. Josh Deere.


The news conference will be available to view live on the City’s GFTV2 channel and on the City of Grand Forks Facebook page. 


Members of the media are invited to participate through the Zoom video conferencing software with instructions and meeting logistics. The meeting instructions will be sent separately through the City’s media list. Questions can be emailed to jbernstrom@grandforksgov.com


The public is asked to continue to take precautionary measures including social distancing, enhanced personal hygiene and close monitoring of health symptoms.
