Grand Forks, ND – City of Grand Forks will begin vacuum leaf collection the week of October 20, 2025. Crews plan to make two complete passes through the city, weather permitting, following Street Maintenance Routes.

Residents can find the collection schedule for their property and any make-up day information online at www.grandforksgov.com/leafcollection.

To participate, residents can pile leaves (no grass or branches) loosely on the berm (within 3 ft of curb), away from obstacles such as trees, signs, and mailboxes. Do not place leaves in the streets or gutters so storm drains can continue to operate.  

Residents may also haul their leaves and/or grass to one of the yard waste drop sites through mid-November.  Note: Please remove plastic bags when depositing leaves at the sites so that this material can be composted.
