Grand Forks, ND – Crews will begin the construction project at the 42^nd St. and Demers Ave. Intersection on Monday, April 20, 2026.  The initial phase of this underpass project will have minimal impacts to traffic on both 42^nd St. and Demers Ave.

Larger impacts to traffic will occur later this summer.  An additional news release will be sent out prior to those larger traffic impacts.

This is the beginning of a 2 year project that will result in 42^nd St. having an underpass under both Demers Ave. and the railroad crossing.
