FY 2025 JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT REQUEST PUBLIC DISCLOSURE NOTICE / REQUEST FOR REVIEW                                                                                                  

The City and County of Grand Forks are in the process of entering into a mutual grant application with the U. S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance, to obtain a FY 2025 Justice Assistance Grant.  The grant award would total $21,025.00 with no local match requirement. 

The Grand Forks Police Department and Grand Forks County Sheriff’s Office intend to jointly apply these grant funds towards the purchase of a ballistic protective shields, non-lethal irritant launchers and communications earpieces.

This right of review is being extended to all citizens for comment prior to 7am Monday May 11^th, 2026. The grant application deadline is Tuesday, April 28th, 2026, and any comments received during the review period will be considered.  Comments received after the application is submitted will be forwarded for consideration.  Individuals with concerns or comments pertaining to this grant request are asked to contact Lt.
