Notice is hereby given that a petition has been filed by the property owners requesting the annexation to the City of Grand Forks a portion of Southern Estates Thirteenth Addition to the City of Grand Forks, North Dakota, being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 151 North, Range 50 West, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, the following described property, together with the full width of all platted streets and public rights of way contiguous thereto, to-wit:

A parcel of land being a part of the Southeast Quarter of Section 20, Township 151 North, Range 50 West, in Grand Forks County, North Dakota more particularly described as follows:

Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 1 of Block 3 of SOUTHERN ESTATES ELEVENTH ADDITION to the City of Grand Forks, North Dakota, as shown on the plat thereof of file in the office of the County Recorder within and for the county of Grand Forks North Dakota, and recorded at Document Number 784152, said point also being the northeast corner of the Right of Way for South 34th Street as dedicated by the plat of 47TH AVENUE SOUTH ADDITION to the City of Grand Forks, Grand Forks County, North Dakota, as recorded at Document Number 850728 in the files of said Grand Forks County Recorder;

1) THENCE South 2°32'20" East, along the east Right of Way line of said South 34th Street, for a distance of 80.00 feet;

2) THENCE continuing along said east Right of Way line of South 34th Street, southerly for a distance of 128.21 feet along the arc of a tangent curve, concave easterly, having a radius of 405.00 feet, a central angle of 18°08'19” and the long chord of which bears South 11°36'30" East for a distance of 127.68 feet;

3) THENCE South 20°40'40" East, continuing along said east Right of Way line of South 34th Street, for a distance of 136.39 feet;

4) THENCE, continuing along said east Right of Way line of South 34th Street, southerly for a distance of 4.81 feet along the arc of a tangent curve, concave westerly, having a radius of 505.00 feet, a central angle of 0°32'45" and the long chord of which bears South 20°24'17" East for a distance of 4.81 feet;

5) THENCE North 87°29'37" East for a distance of 708.48 feet;

6) THENCE North 2°32'58" West, for a distance of 138.38 feet;

7) THENCE northeasterly for a distance of 115.92 feet along the arc of a non tangent curve, concave northwesterly, having a radius of 100.00 feet, a central angle of 66°25'07” and the long chord of which bears North 30°39'41" East for a distance of 109.54 feet; 

8) THENCE North 2°32'58" West, Tangent to said 100.00 foot radius curve, for a distance of 110.16 feet to a point on the southern boundary line of said SOUTHERN ESTATES ELEVENTH ADDITION; 

9) THENCE South 87°29'37" East, along said south boundary line of SOUTHERN ESTATES ELEVENTH ADDITION, for a distance of 832.48 feet to the point of beginning.

Containing 266,924 square feet (6.13 Acres) more or less.

The  ordinance to annex said premises will be considered by the city council of the City of Grand Forks at its meeting to be held at 5:30 o'clock p.m. on May 18, 2026.
