Most construction requires a building permit. You can find out how much a building permit would cost by estimating the total price of the construction and finding the fee in the appropriate listings below that corresponds to that amount. Permits can be obtained by visiting the Department of Building Safety office in City Hall or by clicking the appropriate link above. Cash and checks are accepted. There is an additional minimal fee to process credit card payments.
