 Annual Fire Operational License Payment

 

Effective February 1st, 2025 the City of Grand Forks will be charging a card processing fee of 3.5% (with a minimum fee of $2.00) on all credit/debit card payments. This includes online, phone, and in person payments. There will not be a fee for E-check, check, or cash payments.

A license issued by the Fire Department grants permission for an operation, process, or activity for which Fire Department approval is required.

What we need

  1. Name of responsible person
  2. An emergency contact/lockbox form completed
  3. Address or location where the process or activity will occur
  4. Date of operation, activity or process
  5. Starting and ending time of the process or activity - annual or short-term site permit

The process:

  1. The applicant must contact the Fire Prevention Division and requests a license.
  2. Depending upon the process or activity, a Fire Marshal, or fire department representative may inspect the location prior to issuing a permit.
  3. The Fire Marshal will issue a permit for a specific period of time, not to exceed one year.
  4. The permit will identify specific instructions and restrictions to the permittee.
