• Container Placement:
• Place four feet from obstacles (cars, mailboxes, trees).
• Handle facing the house.
• Close to the driving lane or street/alley line.
• On the berm by 7:00 AM on your collection day.
• Prohibited Items:
• Grass clippings, yard waste, tree trimmings/branches.
• Rocks, dirt, cement, construction materials.

• Best Practices:
• Avoid wedging or packing garbage tightly into the container.
• Bag garbage before placing it into the container.
• Ensure cars are not blocking access to the container.
• The container lid must close—no items should stick out or be piled on top.
• Cool ashes completely and seal them in a bag before disposal.
• Dry out cans of paint completely before disposal.
• Trim branches overhanging the alley line. Haul them to the landfill or a branch disposal site.
