Grand Forks, ND – Mayor Brandon Bochenski delivered the 2025 State of the City address in front of a live audience on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at the Alerus Center.

Mayor Bochenski highlighted the work of the more than 500 City employees.

“These are people that live in our community.” Mayor Bochenski said.  “They are our neighbors, our friends, our moms and dads, our sons and daughters.”

The mayor was joined on stage by School Board Member Dave Berger, County Commissioner Kimberly Hagen and Park Board Member Russel Kraft during a portion of the speech.

The mayor discussed how quality of life amenities like the Altru Sports Complex and Children’s Museum partnered with economic development projects like the Agristo Potato Plant or the UAS industry can lead to sustained population growth in Grand Forks.

“It is an extremely exciting time in Grand Forks, and I am truly grateful to get to be a small part of it.”  Mayor Bochenski said.
