Thanks to unparalleled local, regional, state and federal collaboration, the Grand Forks region has indeed become the epicenter of all things Unmanned Arial Systems (UAS).

Recent actions include ground breakings by industry giants Northrup Grumman and General Atomics, the signing of a Joint Use Agreement between the US Air Force and Grand Sky to utilize the GFAFB runway for private and public operations, and work with the FAA on integrating our airspace for both manned and unmanned vehicles.

These actions augment the first ever US flight training degree through UND and the UND Aerospace Foundation, as well as diverse UAS industry and data-analysis startups like Sky Skopes and Edge Data housed at the UND Tech Accelerator and UND Center for Innovation.

You see why the Grand Forks region truly is  the ‘epicenter of UAS’.
