A special event permit is required for an organized activity that incorporates the use of:

  • Public Streets, Sidewalks, Right-of-Way
  • Public parks or other City public property
  • Outdoor private property including business parking lots that are part of an event venue
  • Any event that would require City services

Special Event Permit Application

All requests for services related to your event (street closures, waste receptacles, reserved parking stalls, etc.) are subject to City review, and approval is not guaranteed with application submittal. Licensing and approvals are not guaranteed with application submittal. Many aspects of event planning require specific permits through various city departments and need individual approval for each.  For example, food vendors require separate licensing through the Finance Dept. and approval through the Public Health Department 15 days prior to the event
